Three days of talks in the Bulkley Valley have come to an end with a proposed draft agreement in place towards rights and title in the Wet'suwet'en territory of Northwest BC.
Though it is still unclear as to the terms of the agreement that was reached between the Wet'suwet'en Hereditary Chiefs and Federal Minister Carolyn Bennet, along with British Columbia Minister Scott Fraser.
Former Skeena-Bulkley ValleyMP Nathan Cullen who has been serving as a liaison through the discussions shared his thoughts on the process through his social media forums on Sunday
The document will be revealed to Wet'suwet'en members first before any signing ceremony is held, the timeline for release of any information by the two levels of government remains unknown at this point.
So far, there has been no information related to the three days of talks relayed through the Office of the Wet'suwet'en website.
As well, no further background on the results of the weekend talks have been provided to either the BC Government Newsfeed, or that of the Federal Government.
It is also unclear yet as to whether this agreement brings any progress towards resolution of the dispute over the placement of a pipeline route through the Wet'suwet'en territory in question.
As for the pipeline, with the three days of talks having come to a conclusion, Coastal GasLink announced today that its four day pause on construction of the pipeline will come to an end with work set to begin again on Monday morning.
