CityWest changes its procedures for Home or Business visits by Technicians
As part of their response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, CityWest has adjusted its policies towards technicians visits to homes, businesses and offices, with the telecommunication company technicians no no longer entering a house or business location unless it is deemed a life-critical situation.
The latter limited to only those organizations that are in operation for the safety of the community.
Customers will still be able to access technical help which will now consist of instructions from outside of your home through an open door or window, as well as by way of phone conversations and video conferencing to trouble shoot issues and find solutions to their situation.
The moves have been taken towards the protection of their employees and enhances their social distancing moves in recent weeks.
The new policy for technical service was outlined in a statement on Monday, the guidelines to how a home visit will now work are included as part of the roll out of their new measures
As a new community service for the Northwest, CityWest has also introduced a new Community Channel program called "The Social Distance" hosted by Devin Wall and Scott Simpson, which explores how the lives of residents of the Northwest are changing in these challenging times.
The program airs every day on Channel 310 HD and 10 SD, showtimes are Noon and 7PM, CityWest also posted each day's program at 3 PM to the CityWest Community Channel Facebook page.
Earlier this month CityWest closed all of its storefront operations across the Northwest, with customers still able to make inquiries through their call centre at 1-880-442-8664
