As the District moves forward with their planning, Superintendent LaPierre has already called together District Staff to explore their options and the School District soon to reach out to stakeholders to implementation of plans to focus on the needs of students and staff.
In a message posted to the SD52 website, Ms. LaPierre's statement calls attention to the priority of health and safety that the District has during these times.
"As we collectively face the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to reassure our families, students, and communities of School District No. 52 (Prince Rupert) that the district staff have met to brainstorm next steps to put our Continuity of Learning Plan in place. We look forward to working with our stakeholders with our implementation plan as we focus on what lies ahead for students and staff. Additional information will be provided as we move forward. The health and safety of all us is our first priority." -- SD 52 Superintendent Irene Lapierre
In addition to a number of links to the Provincial government website and information options, the Superintendent has introduced a Survey for Families to fill out, something she notes will provide information to the District as they move forward with their planning.
