Poster children for abolition

Canada's Senate has long been held with little regard by the average Canadian,  a place where for the most part the impression is of political hacks taking their reward and engaging in countless years of remunerated slumber.

As things would seem today at least, they would be considered the "go getters"

Jennifer Ditchburn of The Canadian Press outlined the latest account of those that have a good gig and have no actual desire to attend to it, with her report on attendance on that Chamber of sober second thought.

Canada's youngest senator also its most truant

And in what it seems is an annual review of non performance, it's safe to say that Canadians perhaps are not getting the best, nor the brightest for their generous contribution of financial compensation.

The review it seems has not been universally hailed by some of those that work in the Upper House, offering up any number of shopping lists as to why their attendance has been so limited.

The most vociferous and apparently angriest of the group is Senator Brazeau, who fresh off his recent loss in the ring to Justin Trudeau finally came out swinging, though directing his verbal jabs at Ditchburn for having the apparent temerity to uh, do her job...

Clearly not thrilled with being called out for being away from the office for some 25 per cent of the Senate work days, the Senator took to twitter, clearly a forum not of sober second thought for his reply, seemingly becoming shocked when it all turned around on him.

Brazeau, who it seems was just coming back from a Scrabble competition offered to help the CP reporter change the spelling of her last name, suggesting a B would make a dandy opening letter.

So in the spirit of Monsieur Brazeau's affection for words, we offer up a new category for Celebrity Jeopardy Political Class...

Last names of candidates for expulsion from the Senate...
