Office and facility closures in effect in Port Edward |
Like most other communities in the region, the District of Port Edward has put in place its own measures in response to the COVID-19 situation, with the District Closing its Municipal offices and all public facilities earlier this week.
In their advisory for residents the District advised that their utility billing will be extended to April 20th, payments can be made by cheque and dropped off at the Municipal office mail slot or be sent by mail.
They also advise that they are working on other alternative payment methods(online) and an update will be shared on our facebook page and website once this option is available.
Like Prince Rupert, Port Edward has also waived fees for transit users through the month of April.
The District also relayed a message from the Port Edward Harbour Authority, which has reduced their hours of service.
