Virtual information Session towards Skeena River Salmon Enhancement Program set for January 24


An opportunity to learn more about a Northwest salmon enhancement project is coming up next week, with the Prince Rupert Port Authority hosting a half hour virtual info session about the Skeena River Salmon Enhancement Program.

The program was introduced in January of 2019, launched by a 1 million dollar commitment from the PRPA Community Investment Fund.

Some of the first investments came in October of 2019, with more funding to follow through the years.

The program expanding with a number of additional elements as more and more participants offered up their ideas towards salmon enhancement in the region. 

The January 24h session takes place from Noon-12:30 PM and will provide an update on the program criteria, outline some helpful tips towards applications to the program it will also feature a Question and Answer period to bring the info event to a close.
