The completion of the Woodworth Dam is one of seven items on the Major Projects List that will be be part of an update for Council tonight (City of PR photo) |
City Council members will gain a glimpse as to how some of the high profile major projectors are progressing, as the the City's Operations Director, Richard Pucci shares the details of his first report for 2023.
The list of seven projects for the most part remains at 25 percent or less on the completion scale; with only the Woodword Dam project listed as 100 percent complete.
Though the report does indicate that city residents are not currently using the water supply from Woodworth Lake, with Mr. Pucci noting that "the pipe is live an waiting for approval for community use."
Mr. Pucci's notes for Council are as follows:

One area of some note in recent weeks that is not on the agenda for tonight is the state of the city's waterlines, which were the subject of some concern over the holidays and led to a one week State of Local Emergency for the community.
Should Mr. Pucci be on hand to deliver the report in person, Council members may want to seek out an update on the current situation of the waterline work, with two ares of concern, First Avenue East and the Crestview area still active worksites with road closures in place.
As well, Councillors may want to seek out some details on the closure of the public washroom facility at the Eat Street location on Third Avenue East and Seventh Street, the Urbaloo has been closed for much of the last month.
More notes on tonight's First City Council session for 2023 can be reviewed from our Council preview feature.
