New COVID-19 potential exposure notice for Prince Rupert Middle School

There has been a new advisory for the Prince Rupert School District issued by Northern Health related to a potential COVID-19 exposure at Prince Rupert Middle School, with the timeline of note of the exposure for students and staff  reported as January 13-15.

Superintendent Andrew Samoil advised parents and guardians at the school of the situation in a letter dated January 21.

The update from Northern Health was published earlier today.

The Northern Health letter reminds those in the region of the COVID-19 safety plans that are in place at all of the Schools in the District.

The notice for PRMS will be added to the list posted earlier this week of COVID-19 exposures and the period of time to monitor for symptoms from previous advisories.

Thursday night SD52 hosted an online Zoom Special Board Meeting, so far they have not released any background on that meeting and/or any information for the public from that session.
