In an update for students and parents Principal Skye Mitchell noted that in order to prevent any possible transmission of COVID-19 the school will continue to deliver its curriculum online for the next two weeks.
In the notes for parents and students Principal Mitchell acknowledges the challenges that have been seen owing to the internet version of the school program and observes of the need for a bit of extra time to prepare to meet the needs of the students who cannot receive online education.
Further updates for the community on themes of education in Lax Kw'alaams are planned for sometime this week.
The update which is available through the Coast Tsimshian Academy Facebook page has also served as a forum for residents of Lax Kw'alaams who have shared some of their concerns towards ensuring that their children are getting the instruction that they need during these COVID times.
