The program is set for a January 18th start, and will feature the Pfizer vaccine, which is a change from many of the other Indigenous communities of the Northwest which have seen vaccines arrive in recent weeks, they have all been provided with the Moderna vaccine.
The highest priority as part of the plan from the Nass Valley Health Authority will be for Elders 65 and above, NVHA Direct Care staff and vulnerable populations.
Community wide delivery will take place as supplies become available.

According to the information released on Wednesday, the first batch of Pfizer doses will total 60.
The news of the vaccination plan comes after the announcement from the Nisga'a Lisims Government of a State of Local Emergency in place, that as part of their efforts to prevent the spread of COVID.
