Metlakatla offers guidance and assistance to members during challenging COVID period for region

The Metlakatla First Nation is reaching out to its membership this week, offering some guidance on themes of COVID, that as reports from Prince Rupert highlight some growing case reports both at area schools and more recently at the Acropolis Manor Long Term Care facility in the city.

Through their Social media feed, Metlakatla officials have made note of the new cases and remind their members of the need to continue with the health measures in place, particularly during this period of time.

As well, recognizing that the pressures on families continue to grow with COVID, they are offering the members of their community some counselling support through the services of Bob Manning.

Those that may need to take advantage of that offer can call for an appointment at 604-992-5149.

To keep up with announcements from the First Nation community across the harbour from Prince Rupert follow their website or Facebook page here.

Further notes related to Metlakatla can be explored from our Archive page here.
