The Lax Kw'alaams Band will be hosting a community event this Thursday to provide an update for its members on the path forward on Truth and Reconciliation with a full day of activities and information sharing planned for the Elders Lodge.
The event is one which features virtual guests and a Zoom link for those that can't attend in person,
You can find out more about the plans and how to access the Zoom Link here.
The next few weeks will be busy ones for the community, they have a well received drum making program launching this week, the first event already full.
The program takes place at the Carving Shed behind the Lax Kw'alaams offices on Fist Avenue East adjacent to the court house. Future plans will see two other sessions before October is finished.
And as we noted last week, officials have scheduled a Ground Breaking ceremony for the apartment building construction set for 11th Avenue East.
That event takes place at Noon on Thursday, October 12th at the 11the Avenue construction site.
More notes related to themes fro Lax Kw'alaams can be reviewed here.
