Residents who use the Friendship House EVAW shuttle bus between Prince Rupert and Terrace will have to make alternate arrangements for Thursday, with the. Fraser Street organization announcing that service has been canceled for the second of two runs this week.
The service which normally offers 5 dollar one way service between the two communities leave Prince Rupert at 10AM and returns from Terrace a 2:30PM on Tuesday's and Thursdays.
Other than unforeseen circumstances, there was no explanation as to why the service has been suspended for Thursday.
The Northwest connection is only recently back in service following a two week disruption in September.
The Service began in January of 2018, following the end of Greyhound service to the region. The local initiative was highlighted by the Prince Rupert City Council of the day as the preferred option for connection to Terrace from this community.
That after the City chose not to become involved with a Regional BC Transit service that now serves all communities from Terrace east to Prince George.
More notes on transportation along the Highway 16 corridor can be reviewed here.
