Summer like temperatures, followed by Fall like rain, made for some of the Thanksgiving weekend 2023 atmosphere. with Prince Rupert setting two Heat records over the long weekend.
Saturday brought the warmest day of the weekend with Prince Rupert registering a high of 21.5
Sunday was a wee bit cooler, but not by much with a high of 17.3
We came close on Friday to making it a trifecta, but at 17.6 degrees we came up just short of the 2022 record of 18.3 degrees for October 6
Monday was a mix of weather from sunshine to a near monsoon moment in the afternoon, setting the stage for the week ahead and more familiar weather patterns.
Prince Rupert wasn't the only place to find new records in place in the province over the weekend, the list is plentiful for communities with some record book maintenance ahead.
