City of Prince Rupert to enter four year partnership Agreement with SPCA


The City of Prince Rupert has announced today of its plans to enter into a four year partnering agreement with the BCSPA, with the Association to provide Animal Services on behalf of the city for the term of the agreement which will be in place until December 31st of 2027.

Towards the agreement, the City will provide 29,507.60 annually with the contract to increase according to any increases in the Consumer Price Index for the term of the arrangement. 

What services will be provided by the Frederick Street SPCA shelter are outlined in the information  release from the city from Friday morning.

The City's notice from today advises that if anyone in the community has questions or enquiries related to the arrangement,  they have until. 4PM November 3rd to contact Corporate Administrator Rosa Miller at City Hall.

The agreement is subject to renewal at the conclusion of the term in 2027.

The agreement is separate from the Community Enhancement Grant funding that the city provides to the Prince Rupert SPCA.
