The Canadians were in London as part of the celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III.
Mr. Palmer was one of three members of the Canadian delegation to participate in the procession of recipients of national honours as his part of formal the celebration.
Mr. Palmer's participation was announced prior to the Coronariton by the Prime Minister"The Canadian delegation will include member of the Order of Merit and Companion of the Order of Canada Margaret MacMillan and Cross of Valour recipient Leslie Arthur Palmer. They will be accompanied by Canada’s flag bearer, astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who will travel to the moon next year as part of the Artemis II mission. The three will participate in a procession of recipients of national honours as part of the Coronation service."

It's the second journey across the Atlantic for the Cross of Valour recipient in the last eight months.
The Prince Rupert resident was also part of the Canadian Delegation to the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth in September of 2022.
Mr. Palmer was awarded the Cross of Valour in 2006 for his part in the rescue of mariners while he was a member of the crew of the Canadian Coast Guard Vessel Point Henry.
The Coronation of the King made for two days of celebration in England, with the Coronation held on Saturday and further activities taking place on Sunday.
