The first Regular council session scheduled for May takes place this evening, the night one which will bring Reports on a range of themes from recreation planning to Fire/Rescue service, Website renewal and Variance requests to name a few.
As well tonights session will provide for the final vote of approval for the Five Year Financial Plan and the Property Tax Bylaw and its 12.5% increase.
Council will also follow up on a topic that was introduced and discussed as part of their Special Thursday Session last week, with the Council members to hear more background on the plans for borrowing for both Water infrastructure and Liquid Waste Infrastructure. With CFO Corinne Bomben to outline the scope of all scenarios as to the cost and process of approval for taxpayers.
Council will also receive a report that outlines the background towards a proposed apartment complex to be constructed along the vacant and currently forested land along Hays Cove Avenue at Frederick Street, part of the City's efforts towards a Rapid Housing program.
The Regular Session
Tonight's Regular Council session starts at 7 PM and can be viewed by way of the Live Feed from the City Website, or on Cable Television from CityWest Cable channel 10/310.
