Nick Adey adds his name to the candidates list of those seeking re-election as the 2022 campaign prepares to heat up

We can add one more incumbent to the list of those seeking the support of the voters on October 15th with Councillor Nick Adey seeking a second term of office.

His campaign launch coming by way of his Social Media page, is one which carries on the discussion from the 2018 campaign which introduced him to municipal politics.

Among the themes for the quest for his second term, some strong support of the work of the Current Council and the focus for this Council that has been developed through their dedication towards the implementation of the 2030 Rupert vision program.

As well, his campaign preview, includes a look back at some of his advocacy on issues that have been brought to his attention by residents over the course of the four years in the council chamber.

His Social media feed, which you can review here, promises more discussion points to come as the campaign moves forward towards Election Day.

The inclusion of the archived notes of four years ago also serves well as a gauge as to how the current council evolved over the issues that made for the election narrative at the time.

The incumbent will be looking to build on the momentum he found in 2018 when as a first time candidate he attracted 1,535 votes, the decision of the voters putting him fifth in the rankings from that campaign.

The Councillors entry into the race leaves only incumbent Reid-Skelton Morven to be heard from as the 4 PM deadline for nominations arrives today.
