Farewell to the Queen! Some get the day off to commemorate, others ... maybe during lunch break

The final farewell to Queen Elizabeth II will be a somewhat complicated thing for residents of British Columbia, with the Provincial Government following up on a Federal announcement today that is leaving a few folks bewildered as to what September 19th will bring.

The Federal announcement noted of the commemoration of a Day of Mourning in Canada.

As for the province, Premier John Horgan outlined how the BC Government plans to respond to the Federal National Holiday, sharing the government program with a statement this afternoon.

For the most part outside of the Schools and the Federal jobs and provincial Crown Corporations, maybe check with the boss to see how your employer is taking their cues.

While we sort it out, the Federal Government is inviting Canadians to review their information page on the passing of the Queen, where you can sign the Book of condolences  and review the history of the Monarch with Canadians.
