We're still relatively early in the campaign process for the eight candidates for council and four seeking the mayoralty, but if you've measured the candidates for office and made up your mind from the roster for the 2022 Civic Election, the opportunity to do your civic duty comes up at mid week next week.

The Advance polling takes place on Wednesday, October 5th in the Raven Youth Lounge at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, with voting to take place from 8AM to 8PM
A second advance poll takes place one week later on October 12th at the same location and same times.

There also will be a Special Voting Opportunity taking place on Thursday, October 13th that for qualified electors who are staff members, patients or residents at the Prince Rupert Hospital or Acropolis Manor.
The Hospital voting takes place from 1 to 3PM, while that at Acropolis Manor will take place from 3 to 5PM
Voters can also request a Mail In Ballot package for the 2022 vote, Details on that process can be reviewed here, and will require voters to download a mail ballot application form available here.
Of note is the deadline of September 30th at 4PM, for those wishing to use that option.
General Voting Day is Saturday, October 15th with voting to take place from 8 AM to 8 PM
The City of Prince Rupert also advises that BC Transit will be providing Free Transit service that day for voters looking to make their way to the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
