A long time fixture on the District of Port Edward Council has announced his intention to seek a sixth term of office.
James Brown relayed his electoral plans for 2022 on Wednesday through Social Media, seeking to continue forward with what he describes as the positive change that the Council has brought to the community.
His candidacy marked the second declaration of the month for the District, as we outlined on September 1st, Mayor Knut Bjorndal announced his quest for a second consecutive term as the top elected official for the community.
The deadline for nominations comes up this afternoon at 4PM, Port Edward voters will have a better idea as to the roster of electoral options later tonight or over the weekend as the nomination papers are processed by election officials in the District.
