District of Port Edward announces Todd Francis as New CAO

The District of Port Edward will soon have a new Chief Administrative Officer on hand at the District offices, announcing today that their Executive search has ended with the hiring of Todd Francis, who will take up his duties in January following similar duties with the District of Stewart.

The information release from the District notes:

Mr. Francis comes to the District of Port Edward’s most senior executive role from his latest position with the District of Stewart, where he has served as Chief Administrative Officer.

Prior to that, Mr. Francis served as Senior Administrative Officer at Fort Resolution in the Northwest Territories, and in senior roles in a number of communities in Ontario.

Upon his arrival in January, Mr Francis will take over the post vacated by Rob Grodecki, who left the district in September after eight months in the post.

Ms. Elsie Lemke has been serving as the interim CAO during the course of the search for the new senior staff member.

Mayor Knut Bjorndal expressed the District's pleasure at filling the role so as to move forward with many of the key issues ahead in 2024 for Port Edward

“We are pleased that we have been able to fill this important position for the District, and on behalf of Council and the community, we look forward to welcoming Todd to Port Edward and working with him on our many new and important initiatives.” -- Port Edward  Mayor Knut Bjorndal.
