Federal Government set to announce significant funding towards supply chain initiatives at Port of Prince Rupert

The Federal Transport Minister is hinting towards a 
significant funding announcement Wednesday for the Port of Prince Rupert

The Port of Prince Rupert will be at the centre of a funding announcement to come on Wednesday from the Federal government. 

With the strengthening of the national Supply chain to be the focus for the federal initiative.

The details won't come until the Wednesday virtual presentation, which has been described by Omar Alghabra, the Federal Minister of Transport as a significant funding announcement. 

Also set to speak at the Wednesday virtual event will be Prince Rupert Port Authority President and CEO Shaun Stevenson and  Rob Booker, President of Trigon Pacific Terminals on Ridley Island.

The advisory issued today notes that the funding announcement and Q and A session is to take place at 9:15 Tomorrow morning.
