The District of Port Edward is advising its residents of some progress towards development of more housing in the community, with work set to get underway on the Alder Avenue Brownfield Remediation project.

In a Notice for residents from Wednesday, the District noted that this week will see large trucks hauling material in and out of the Alder Avenue project side, the remediation project to take up to two weeks towards completion.

The District last updated the community on their subdivision plans for Alder Avenue in August when they outlined what was ahead for the site as part of the project.

In April, it was announced that Pacific Aurora Construction Management would be the developer of the first phase of eleven homes.

More notes from the District can be explored from our archive page.
