BC Parks announced this week that their online reservation service will open for residents on January 3, 2023, with the earliest of the early birds able to book their space as of 7AM.
George Heyman, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change observed how public feedback has provided guidance for the Parks Service towards improving the online reservation system.
“Through our ongoing visitor engagement, we’ve heard the majority of campers prefer a four-month rolling window, allowing people to book a site well in advance of their visit. We will continue to listen to public feedback so we can improve people’s park experiences, and everyone can easily access the many beautiful parks and backcountry areas our province has to offer.”
This years launch features a change from 2022, with campers able to book a site four months ahead of their desired arrival date instead of the previous two-month booking window.
The online program is one that continues to evolve and you can learn more about that process here.
