Twin projects go out for Bid by City of Prince Rupert

The City of Prince Rupert is looking to move ahead on its infrastructure To-do list, with two projects recently added to the BC Bid listings and now out for response from interested contractors.

The first is a project to create a Bus Pull in area along Second Avenue West. The overview from the City noting of the increase of traffic on Second Avenue West and the ever increasing width of vehicles that transit that route, something that has made for difficulties for Prince Rupert Transit.

The area identified for the work is a stretch of 2nd Avenue West from Fourth to Fifth Streets.

As part of the Bid prospectus, the City notes they are looking for qualified contractors to come up with a solution to the problem and replace the aging retaining wall and utilities.
