There's some good news for those Prince Rupert residents dodging potholes and navigating the rougher of the city's roads, the City of Prince Rupert is in the homestretch when it comes to preparation for the 2022 Paving program.

City staff will be exploring their options when it comes to the annual paving program as of today, that with the close yesterday of the City of Prince Rupert call for Quotations for the 2022 work.

The RFQ was issued on the BC Bid website on May 25th with a June 6th deadline to submit a quotation  for work on the fifteen projects that have been selected by the Operations Department for the year.

The list is a mix of large stretches in some places and just intersection work in others, a  compilation of the do to list that is bound to leave someone around town wondering why their neighbourhood didn't make the cut for 2022.

The timeline for the work is somewhat fluid and at the City's discretion, but the RFQ on BC Bid notes that the Paving program must be completed before September 24th.

More notes on Civic Operations can be explored from our archive page here.
