Council members host their second public gathering for February tonight, the Agenda for the evening one that is fairly light with only a few items to attend to.
The Evening starts off with a Committee of the Whole, with a presentation from the Prince Rupert Hospice Society planned for Council members

The Regular session will open with an opportunity for Public Comment on any item from the Regular Agenda, that opportunity to come at the opening of the Regular session starting at 7 PM tonight
As for the Regular Session, some of the items up for review:
The Consent Agenda, Staff Reports, Notice of Motion on the City's Health Care focus and Bylaws.
The Council discussion period could bring the first comments for Council following the recent Provincial Budget and the announcement of funding for the Resource Benefits Association.
Monday's Regular Council session starts at 7 PM and can be viewed by way of the Live Feed from the City Website.
The Regular Council session is normally posted to the City's YouTube archive within 24 hours of the session concluding.

Council will be asked to direct staff to proceed with a Remedial Action Order towards building removal for the property noted. (see pages 14 - 18 of Agenda)
Report from the Chief Financial Officer -- Council will receive a report related to Speculation and Vacancy Tax Resolution for the upcoming North Central Local Government Association means, with a recommendation that council endorse the resolution. (see pages 19 - 23 of Agenda)
Bylaws
City of Prince Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3506, 2023 -- Council will be asked to provide Fourth and Final reading to the Zoning Amendment Bylaw 3506, 2023. That relates to allowing for child care spaces in the community (see pages 24 -26 of the Agenda )
Notice of Motion
Council will put forward their resolution to invite representatives from business, industry, government, local First Nations, Northern Health and the medical community. That to discuss and implement strategies that support recruitment and retention of medical professionals in Prince Rupert, with an immediate focus on physicians.
The Motion will also include a review of ways for the City to consult and support Northern Health o advise the public on alternatives for non emergency services.
Business Arising
Council Round Table and Public Question Period -- Council members will have opportunity to raise items of interest or concern for consideration.
Adjournment -- The Mayor will bring the session to a close.
