Port Edward Strategic Plan highlights core areas for excellence


The District of Port Edward has wrapped up its work on a Strategic Plan for the next three years, with Mayor Bjonrdal and his council members highlighting five areas of focus for the period ahead.

Among them a dedication towards well planned District Finances and development of a high quality of life and community Development

As well they are looking towards a growing and progressive level of Economic Development, a continued commitment to organization excellence and further efforts towards well planned, maintained and financed public works and infrastructure work.

As part of their delivery of their plan, the District has identified six core service areas that they are continuing their work to excel at.

Those included: 

Good Governance, Administration and Community engagement
Public Safety
Community planning and development services
Public Works, infrastructure and engineering
Parks and Recreation
Community Economic Development 

A checklist which District residents will likely consult ofter over the next three years to see how the District's officials fare in moving the themes forward.
