Employers and owner operators in the BC Commercial Fishing industry are the focus for a study this month by the BC Commercial Fishing Association, which is seeking opinion own a range of topics through an online survey.

The goal of this research is to better understand the sector's labour needs, the impacts of new technologies, skills requirements, innovative approaches, and training in digital skills for employees in rural and remote communities, and to identify transferable skills with related sectors in the blue economy.

Those that participate will receive a copy of the final report and well as the opportunity to win prizes through a draw at the end of the project period.

The project has been relayed to the North Coast through the T Buck Suzuki Environmental Foundation which promoted the survey project through their Social media stream this month.

Those in the target audience and with an interest in the survey can access it  from this link.
