Members of the Metlakatla First Nation will be casting their ballots in their General Election at the end of this month, however those looking to take care of their responsibilities a bit earlier can now do so, making use of the Electronic Voting process.
The First Nation has outlined how that works through their Social Media stream, noting that members will require a One Feather Account to participate in the online option.
The final list of candidates was release in Mid July. Five candidates are looking to take on the position of Chief councillor from the retiring Harold Leighton.
Five Candidates have put their name forward for the three On Reserve Council positions, while nine candidates will contest the three In Territory Council Positions.
The electronic voting period closes at 8 PM on September 29th. The deadline to request a Mail in Ballot closed earlier this month.
