City of Prince Rupert opens submission of comment period towards application for Shipwrecking Temporary Use Permit for Industrial Park site

The clock is running for those in Prince Rupert who have concerns or comments related to a request for a renewal of a Temporary Use Permit, towards potential shipwrecking activities in the Industrial Park.

City Council moved the request forward to the public notification period at their August 28th Session, the progress coming following a report from the City's planning office with more background to the request.

The City's Advisory, which was posted to their Social Media Stream and the civic website this week provides some background towards the request. 

As well as to advise that the period for submission of comments will close on October 6th. 


Those who believe they may be impacted by the issuance of the Temporary Use Permit can submit their comments to the City of Prince Rupert, 424 3rd Avenue West Prince Rupert, V8J 1L7

The City's notice advises that Council may take up the request as part of their next City Council session on October 10th.
