North Coast Regional District has plans to move into some new digs come the New Year, with the Board announcing it has resolved to purchase a new administration building in Prince Rupert.
The Home of Regional Government for the North Coast set to move from their current home of the Besner Block on Third West, over to 730 2nd Avenues West.
That would be the old Carlyle, Shepherd and Company Accounting Offices on Second West.
The advisory came as part of their Highlights notes from their October Board Meeting.
The information notes from Regional District indicating that they were planning to use reserve funds that they have been saving for a number of years. No purchase price was released as part of the notes, there is a promise of more information on the move to come in the New Year.
Other notes from their October meeting outlined their work towards infrastructure sure funding for Haida Gwaii, applications towards Active Transportation Grant, correspondences to BC Emergency health Services, as well as the Minister for Citizens Services.
