City seeks residents for participation with Climate Advisory Group

The City of Prince Rupert has issued a call for community members to serve as part of their Climate Advisory Group  that will work with the city's Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.

A social media message from Wednesday has the City seeking two community members and one youth member to serve as at large representatives to the group.

The workload would feature three Group meetings to participate in from December to May, and the city notes that expertise is not a requirement, just your perspectives on what we should protect and consider as a community when thinking about sustainability.

More on the city's Climate Adaption initiative and Action Plan can be reviewed through the City's Rupert Talks Portal.

The Terms of Reference for the Advisory Group are available here.

The application form for those interested in submitting their names towards the Group is available here.

Should you have questions towards the initiative and what's expected from those looking to participate contact the City of Prince Rupert Planning department, at planning@princerupert.ca

Applications are due by 4:00 pm on November 24th and can also be submitted via planning@princerupert.ca or by dropping off the completed form at the front desk of City Hall.

More notes on Civic themes can be reviewed through our archive page.
