Two airports serving the Northwest corner of British Columbia will be receiving some financial help from the Federal Government, the funding to come from the Transport Canada Airports Capital Assistance Program.
In an announcement today, Omar Alghabra the Federal Minister of Transport outlined the scope of safety investments for the Terrace and Masset Airports.
The total funding for British Columbia comes to fourteen million dollars, the full list of airports to receive the Federal cash injection can be reviewed here.
Neither the Prince Rupert Airport, or the Smithers airport made the list for safety improvements of this round of federal funding.
