Tuesday's Labour Council Election Forum to include Rainmakers Debate Club as moderators

Charles Hays Secondary School on Prince Rupert Boulevrd
is the venue for tomorrow night's North Coast Labour Council
Civic Election Forum which starts at 7PM

The second of community election forms, this one hosted by the North Coast Labour Council is set for tomorrow evening from 7 to 9 PM at the Multi purpose room of Charles Hays Secondary School on Prince Rupert Boulevard.

The organizers from the Labour Council confirming today that all of the Mayoralty and Council candidates have confirmed their attendance for the two hour forum, the Labour Council advisory also providing a glimpse at how the Forum will move forward tomorrow evening.

As part of the night, the moderators for the evening have been recruited from the CHSS Rainmakers Debate Team, the Students will introduce speakers, explain the rules for the forum, keep time, and will ask questions submitted by the audience.

Audience questions will be submitted in writing and will be randomly selected to ensure fairness.

There is one other difference between tomorrow's Labour led Forum compared to last week's organized by the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce, that being there will be NO Livestream, for the evening's events.

Which means that if voters wish to know more about the candidates, attending the forum n person will be the main conduit of their talking points for your consideration.

The one drawback to that format of course, is that there will be no permanent record of the candidate's commentary for review prior to Election Day of October 15th.

You can follow any updates on the Forum or other notes from the North Coast Labour Council through their website here.

Further notes related to the 2022 Civic Election forum can be reviewed from our archive page.

Cross posted from the North Coast Review.
