Port Edward voters have a chance to learn more tonight about those candidates seeking a seat at the District's Municipal offices following the October 15 municipal elections |
Residents of Port Edward will get an opportunity to hear how the candidates for office address the issues, with a Chamber of Commerce hosted forum set for tonight at the Community Centre.
The Forum which has a 7PM start time, will follow much of the format of the Prince Rupert version of one week ago, with the three candidates for Mayor and Five for council allowed one minute each for opening and closing statements.
Questions for the candidates will make for the bulk of the two hour program, with the Chamber asking for submissions through their email account of rupertchamber@gmail.com or through this link.
So far there is no indication if the forum will be live streamed, should we hear of an update we'll provide the notes as part of the story.
There hasn't been much heard on the Port Edward campaign trail as of yet, so tonight's forum may offer one of the few opportunities for residents of the District to shape an opinion towards who should represent them after October 15th.
Notes on the elections both in Prince Rupert and Port Edward can bet reviewed from our archive page.
