Port Edward stays the course with Knut Bjorndal, returns incumbents and one newcomer to Council Chamber

The counting didn't take long in Port Edward, the totals relayed from the District just around 9PM and when the tallies were released, the Mayoralty remained in the hands of incumbent Knut Bjorndal.

He will head into his second consecutive term with a 56.8 percent share of the vote, making for a significant gap between Bjorndal and second place finisher Shawn Pettit who had 36.8 percent of the vote. Carl Schmidt came in a distant third with 6.5 percent of the vote.
