Cam McIntyre is serving as the SD52 Chief Election Officer, with Brittney Verissimo the Deputy Election Officer for the 2022 vote.
So far there has been little discussion of the upcoming campaign and the candidacies for both incumbents and newcomers for the Board of Education.
Two long serving members of the SD52 Board won't be seeking a return to office, as we noted in past notes on School District themes, both Tina Last and Bart Kuntz previously stated that they would not be standing for re-election in the October 15th vote.
The current School District Board will have one more session before a new Board is elected, that coming in September.
Once the nomination period for the 2022 election comes to a close on September 9th we'll have a look at what interest has been stirred up and who has plans to be part of the education process in the region as well as what themes may dominate the election campaign period.
As we learn more about the SD52 election campaign we'll chart those developments from our Election archive page here.
For now, a chance to review some of the key decisions and controversies of the last year that could make for a narrative for the election campaign is available from our Education Archive page.
