The list of candidates for Prince Rupert City Council now includes at least one incumbent, with Councillor Gurvinder Randhawa announcing his plans to contest the civic election in October.
The two term Councillor announced his quest for another mandate through social media this week..
His campaign announcement includes his endorsement of the path of the current council and what he observes are its forward looking local policies.
Mr. Randhawa was first elected to Council in November of 2014, gaining 2,053 votes in the contest, making for three new faces for that collective.
The 2018 election returned him for a second term, though the vote tally in that contest was somewhat lower than four years previous at 1,841.
He now will be running for re-election on a record of eight years in the Council chamber as he seeks a third term in office.
