A mechanical issue with the embarkation door for the Northern Adventure has BC Ferries on a revised schedule today |
They may have added a few extra sailings through to the end of September, but some old fashioned mechanical problems kept the Northern Adventure in port at Prince Rupert on Thursday a bit longer than originally scheduled.
The planned morning departure for Haida Gwaii one which was delayed until later in the day.
An issue with an embarkation door meant that the vessel did not depart Prince Rupert until late Thursday afternoon, arriving in Skidegate at 10PM.
The vessel is currently making its return to Prince Rupert from a 3AM departure from Haida Gwaii and anticipate arrival at the Fairview Bay Terminal in Prince Rupert for8:30 AM
BC Ferries anticipated a return to their regular schedule today.
As we outlined last week, six additional sailings were put in place through until September 24th to support traffic volumes between Prince Rupert and Skidgeate. Those sailings are as follows:
