Waterfront Project Update to come with Contact Award recommendation for Council tonight

More change is in the works for the Rotary Waterfront Park area with the
City of Prince Rupert now ready to move forward on development
of a new Airport Ferry dock at the location

Those in the community with an interest in the progress for the City's waterfront development plans will want to take in tonight's Prince Rupert City Council session, with Richard Pucci, the City's Director of Operations and Intergovernmental Affairs set to provide an update on the twin projects under development at the moment.

His report to Council is available for reading through the City's Agenda package for tonight's 7PM Council session. It will include elements related to the ongoing work of the CN Station rebuild as well as plans for development of a new Airport Ferry docking facility at Rotary Waterfront park.

The latter is a partnership with the Gitxaala First Nation and the province

As part of the session this evening Mr. Pucci will review the report for council and answer questions from Council members should anyone have any items of note to raise with him.

As well, part of the presentation tonight is to move forward with a resolution towards making the Contract award to CT Northern Contractors Alliance Limited Partnership, that as part of recently adopted Master Service Agreement process.

You can review some of the previous notes on both the CN Building work and the new ferry dock plans as part of the Rupert's Landing initiarive for the area of Rotary Waterfront Park from our Tracker page here.

For a look at more items of interest from this evening's Council session see our preview here.
