Hiring time for Alaska Marine Highway System in Prince Rupert

The Gates to the Alaska Marine Highway Terminal will
reopen in June, when service between Prince Rupert and
Ketchikan resumes after more than a two year absence

As they prepare for the return of the marine link between PrinceRupert and Ketchikan, te Alaska Marine Highway System is preparing to interview candidates for positions at the Prince Rupert Terminal at Fairview Bay.

An information post on Social Media outlined the process ahead for hiring for the three part time positions which will need to be filled in time for the return of service in June.

Those interested in applying are asked to email a resume to alaskaferryypr@gmail.com

Candidates who are selected will be contacted for interviews after April 14th, with training to occur later this month and through May.

As we outlined back in early March, the AMHS is planning to resume its service on June 20th, they are returning to the Prince Rupert to Ketchikan route with twice a month sailings to start through to September.

The last sailing between the two ports took place in the Fall of 2019
