SD52 offers supervision for children of essential services workers this week, with preparations continuing for school relaunch on January 10th


This week has seen School District 52 providing for some supervisory work when it comes to the children of Essential Services Workers, the District following Minister of Eduction guidelines as part of the response to the Omicron variant,  explained the week long project on Tuesday.

Their notes for this week and next delivered through a Social Media message.


The Communicable Disease Plan referenced in their update, is a twenty page document that covers a range of themes towards the safe operation of the schools. 

It outlines the Districts' revised planning for 2022, from the measures in place in the school facilities, to guidance on gatherings, events and other activities that take place inside and outside of the local schools.

The individual School Communicable Disease plans would appear to be destined for release this coming Friday, just ahead of the return to school plans for next week.

The K-12 Daily Health Check page can be accessed here. Included in the resource is a mobile app option for parents/students to download for future use.

The full return to school for all students will arrive this coming Monday, January 10th.
