City of Prince Rupert Gym facility reopens under new measures released by the BC Public Health Officer

The City of Prince Rupert Recreation Department Gym Facility
at the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre has reopened for use

Like many private Gyms and Fitness facilities in Prince Rupert and across the province, the City of Prince Rupert Recreation Department's Facility has reopened today, the City's Rec Department making note of the re-opening and the new measures in place in an announcement on Wednesday.

As we outlined on Wednesday, the Provincial Health Officer, Doctor Bonnie Henry, announced the "cautious step of reopening gyms and exercise facilities" on Tuesday, noting of some of the measures now in place to go with the reopening.

The facilities across the province had been closed since December following the December COVID related  Health orders from the Province.

The City's Gym Facility is located in the mezzanine area of the Earl May Aquatic Centre in the Recreation Complex.

And while the Gym has reopened,  the Recreation Centre notes that a number of other popular programs remain on pause until at least February.

More notes on events and programs at the Recreation Centre can be explored from their Social Media Stream and website.
