School District Survey part of tonight's Budget Consultation process

School District 52 officials will move their Budget Consultation process along a bit more this evening as they host a Zoom Session on budget themes following their Special Board meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The focus for this second Budget Consultation of the current cycle, will be to receive the Partner Group Presentations that will add to the information flow of the requirements of the District as they consider the financial planning for the year ahead.

As part of the community engagement on their Budget Planning, the School District is currently hosting a survey through the SD52 website, with a range of questions for your participation towards.

Among the Topics a review of the Mission of the School District and how the budget planning could best be used to help students succeed in school.

The Board of Education is also asking for suggestions on how the District could reduce its spending for the 2021-2022 period.

The third and final question asks for any other comments that you may have that the Trustees should consider before they approve the budget.

You can access the survey here.

To participate in the Budget Consultation contact Ms. Tamara Dickens at tamara.dickens@sd52.bc.ca to request the zoom link if you would like to attend.

If you wish to attend the earlier Special Board meeting, advise Ms. Dickens accordingly that session  set for a 6:30 PM start, will address the need for a spending freeze for this current year as outlined at the 9th School District session.
