With four positions currently available through the Band Council for casual employment, the Council has announced plans for a random draw from applications received at some point in the near future.
In their advisory for community members the Band Council provides some extensive information on the history of their ILWU application process, how the current program will move forward and what those who are selected can expect when it comes to calls for work in the early stages of their employment.
The full background on the program can be reviewed here, with more notes on the topic to be found here.
Those members with an interest in putting their name forward for consideration for an application may email their updated resume to employment@laxbdl.com
Alternately they can drop off their resume in the mailbox at the Lax Kw’alaams Business Development office in Prince Rupert – 100 1st Ave East.
Members are reminded to ensure that resumes have your current contact information, your work experience and that any industrial or safety tickets you may have are up to date.
Resumes will be accepted until 4pm February 24, 2021.
