BC Government introduces Online booking for Service BC offices and outlines options for Mobile BC Services Card

Residents of the North Coast who make use of the Third Avenue Service BC office can now book appointments online, that after the province announced the latest measure towards helping with social distancing today.

To take part in the online appointment program, you will have to download what is called a Mobile BC Services Card, which is available through any mobile device App Store.

As the BC Government explains it using the mobile option also allows quick and safe access to a number of services beyond the making of an online appointment:

Health Gateway, including COVID-19 test results as soon as they are available;

StudentAidBC; business registration; B.C. billing and payment services; personal freedom of information requests;

Employment and Social Development Canada’s My Service Canada Account (Old Age Security,

Canada Pension Plan, Canada Pension Plan Disability, Employment Insurance)

Canada Revenue Agency’s MyAccount, where individuals can view and manage personal income tax and benefit information.

Locally you can contact Service BC at their Third Avenue West office or by phone at 250-624-7415.

You can learn more about today's announcement on booking online appointments and what the BC Services Card has to offer here.
