Unregistered Dental Hygienist subject of BC wide Review of Release order

Dental patients province wide should probably make note of the face and check out the name of their dental hygienist for their next dental appointment.

That as the Sannich Police share word across BC that they believe that Emmanuel Osaseri may once again be living out his career fantasy life in a dental office somewhere in the province.

Police say man charged with impersonating a dental hygienist could be at it again

The subject of interest for Saanich Police and many other police agencies in BC, was reported to have been in Prince Rupert earlier this month, since that time, the apparent focus for his efforts has been the Vancouver Island and Lower mainland.

Prince Rupert Crimestoppers, shared the Awareness Advisory through their social media page this morning.

Earlier this month, the BC College of Oral Health Professionals, outlined that the responsibility towards checking on the accreditation of dental hygienists is that of the office doing the hiring.

“Employers are responsible for ensuring that all the oral health care professionals they hire are registered/certified with BCCOHP. They also need to be confident that anyone they refer patients to for care has been granted the authority to provide that care,” -- Dr. Chris Hacker, Registrar and CEO of the BC College of Oral Health Professionals.

Between that protocol and the expanded advisories from police officials, it would seem unlikely that the unregistered Osaseri should be plying his fantasy trade anytime soon.
