A chance this week to chart your future with BC Ferries, with Thursday Job information session in Prince Rupert

For Job seekers looking for something a bit different to do that comes with a spectacular view.

BC Ferries would like to have a chat with you.

BC Ferries recruiters will be in the city this week providing some background on career opportunities with the Marine Transportation service that serves the North Coast, Haida Gwaii, Central Coast and Vancouver Island.

Along with the major routes of the Lower Mainland to Vancouver Island.

The information session for Prince Rupert takes place on Thursday from 1:30 -2:30 at the NetWorks offices behind the Prince Rupert Court House on Market Place.

This past summer saw some significant challenges in staffing the ferries following the COVID period, a situation that as we noted in December, has made for some testy labour engagement between the company and the BC Marine Workers Union.

While you likely won't gain much insight on labour relations from the information session this week.

You will hear of the range of jobs available, as well as the kind of work schedule that you would have once you sign on aboard with the fleet.

More notes on BC Ferries service on the North Coast can be reviewed here.

Cross posted from the North Coast Review.
